Bai Hua She She Cao
Bai Hua She She Cao (Oldenlandia). Its scientific name is Herba Hedyotis Diffusae. It is slightly bitter, slight sweet in flavour and slightly cold in nature. As per TCM definition it covers meridians of large intestine, liver and stomach. It is used for clearing heat and detoxicating, eliminating stagnation and resolving dampness by promoting urination. Main indications are cough and sore throat due to lung heat, urinating difficulty due to urinary infection, jaundice due to stagnant heat and dampness inside, snakebite, and toxic sores. It contains Beta-Sitosterol that helps lower the Cholesterol and boost the immune system.
