Ban Bian Lian
Ban Bian Lian or Chinese Lobelia, is a small perennial plant which has long, thin stems. It is green-brown in colour. The whole plant is used in TCM as a diuretic. It is sweet and bland, and also slightly cold in nature. Ban Bian Lian enters the heart, lung and small intestine meridians. This herb is commonly used for oedema. It also clears heat, cools blood and reduces toxicity.
