Da Huang(zhi)
Radix et Rhizoma Rhei. Part used: Rhizome. Known as Rhubarb root. Entering meridians: heart, large intestines, liver, stomach and spleen. Used to drain heat excess with high fever, profuse sweating, thirst, constipation, abdominal pain, and a yellow tongue coat. Also drains fire and heat from the blood. Da Huang is used to clear heat, transform dampness and promote urination. All Phoenix Medical dry authentic herbs and concentrated herbal granules are free of sulphur, herbicides and pesticides.
