Zhi Zi (Jiao)
Fructus Gardeniae. Part used: Fruit. Known as Gardenia/Cape Jasmine Fruit. Entering meridians: Heart, Lung, Stomach, Liver and Triple Burner. Origin: South of the Yangtze River. Zhi Zi can clear heat, reduce fire, eliminate irritability in the San Jiao, cool the blood, reduce swelling and relieve toxicity. Zhi Zi Jiao is a PaoZhi processed herb so can moderate cold property and strengthen the function of stopping bleeding. All Phoenix Medicial dry herb and concentrated herbal granules are grown without sulphur, pesticides or herbicides and are grown in the place of origin.
